We finally had our Barbie 50th Party this weekend. My sister bought me this sparkly, special edition doll. She was a bit darker than
the one I originally coveted but I love her just as much. This racially ambiguous doll was a great topic of discussion. Is she Puerto Rican, Black, or Asian Indian? We also talked about how back in our day, Barbie was a blond, Caucasian. Mattel has really come a long way since then.
In addition to Racially Ambiguous Barbie, Transgendered Ken also made an appearance at our soiree!

Tranny Ken showed up wearing an ill-fitting dress. She could not find shoes to match. A perfect candidate for "What Not To Wear". She is staying at our house. Don't think the folks at Children's Hospital would appreciate her. Special thanks to Pam for this "collectible"!

I made my specialty chicken and beef Kabobs

I also whipped up a "Stripper Ken" cake. It was "Berry Good"!

The Barbie Gift Table

My sister, aka Hostess With The Mostest muti-tasking as usual. She is doing the Drink, Eat & Be Merry Dance.

The Guests of Honor with the special cake!

I'll take a slice of Ken, please.

That Ken is such a doll. I could just eat him up!
